The Canada UK Energy Summit is an important event aimed at enhancing the transatlantic relationship between Canada and the UK, particularly in the realm of energy transition, decarbonization, and sustainability initiatives. Set against a backdrop of geopolitical changes, the summit provides a platform for discussing the implications of energy transition for the oil and gas sector in Canada. Participants will address key topics such as industrial decarbonization, carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS), as well as the prospects for hydrogen and clean fuels within the energy and industrial manufacturing supply chains. One of the key objectives of the summit is to facilitate stronger commercial, technological, and political cooperation between Canada and the UK. It is designed to gather a diverse audience, including 120 pre-qualified company representatives and thirty public sector representatives who play a vital role in advancing policies and funding frameworks for CCUS and clean energy technologies. Notably, the summit will be held in partnership with the Carbon Capture and Storage Association (CCSA) during their annual Conference at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster. Following the discussions, delegates will have the opportunity to network at Canada House, providing a conducive environment for generating opportunities for Canadian firms and exporters in the UK market. The summit also features a trade mission that allows a delegation of Canadian companies to participate in both the Canada UK Energy Summit and CCUS 2025, with opportunities to visit a UK industrial cluster engaged in CCUS and hydrogen projects. Furthermore, the event will include discussions on how Canada and the UK can align their policies towards CCUS ahead of the COP30 Conference in Brazil.
