The Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) Joint Event represents a significant convergence of stakeholders dedicated to enhancing the smart readiness of European buildings. This event, organized in collaboration with the SRI-ENACT project and the LIFE CET SRI Cluster, aims to provide a platform for industry experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions on the smart technologies that can facilitate decarbonization while improving comfort and energy efficiency in buildings. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to share insights, knowledge, and network with various participants, including homeowners, real-estate stakeholders, researchers, and industry professionals. The event is designed as a full-day gathering, making it an invaluable opportunity for all those interested in advancing the dialogue surrounding sustainable building practices.The program features a range of sessions, including the SRI Platform 6th Plenary Meeting, which will provide updates on European Union policy developments related to the Smart Readiness Indicator. Attendees will hear insights from the SRI support team and receive progress reports from Member States regarding SRI testing and implementation. Additionally, eight officially trained SRI auditors will present their experiences and achievements in building assessments using the SRI-ENACT toolkit. A showcase of SRI-funded projects under the LIFE and Horizon programs will highlight innovative initiatives that are driving the adoption of smart building assessments. The gathering will also emphasize the importance of collaborative pathways to sustainable heating and cooling, discussing Finnish perspectives on renewable heating and cooling, along with the regulatory frameworks for the use of AI and machine learning in the built environment.
