The Regional Business Energy Conference will provide a comprehensive platform for discussing innovative strategies in energy production, focusing on packaging, industrial, and bio waste. The Conference will delve into critical discussions surrounding waste management, integration into energy systems, and the importance of regulatory compliance with Serbian and EU legislation. Experts will share insights on building incinerators for effective waste-to-energy transformation and the technological advancements in biomass energy conversion. Participants will explore the economic and environmental benefits of utilizing waste, alongside practical advice on navigating new regulations and attracting investment for sustainable projects. Key questions addressed include how companies can adapt to evolving legal requirements, the initial steps for implementing decarbonization projects, and the conditions necessary for successful green project investments.A workshop titled 'CBAM - Challenges, Calculations, and Opportunities for Companies' will be led by a Mechanical Engineer and Director of Odraz LLC. This session will highlight the significance of carbon footprint awareness and its impact on global trade and market competitiveness. Attendees will learn about carbon footprint calculation, reporting challenges, and the financial implications of emissions. The workshop will provide insights into identifying business opportunities related to carbon footprint reduction and the technologies available for emission management, such as energy efficiency solutions and renewable energy systems. Another panel, featuring Prof. Branka Gvozdenac Uroševic, will focus on the role of various technologies—solar, nuclear, green hydrogen, and biomass—in modernizing industrial processes for sustainability. This panel aims to identify technological trends that can improve efficiency and reduce costs while ensuring compliance with local laws and financial frameworks. Discussions will also cover the advantages and challenges of integrating nuclear energy and green hydrogen into Serbian industrial practices. The Conference will also address battery storage technologies and their significance in connecting renewable energy sources to the grid. Experts from the Energy Management Directorate and Elektroprivreda Srbije will discuss innovations in battery storage systems and their impact on the electricity market. Furthermore, the integration of these technologies into road infrastructure will be considered, focusing on how they can support electric vehicle charging and enhance grid stability. An emphasis will be placed on ESG principles in energy transition, led by Senior Managers from Ernst & Young and Siemens Energy. This panel will present case studies showcasing successful ESG strategies in the energy sector, highlighting the innovations and challenges encountered during their implementation. Finally, discussions will explore the ESCO financing model's role in improving energy efficiency, detailing how these companies can finance projects while ensuring energy and financial savings for clients. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and advantages of applying the ESCO model in Serbia, paving the way for enhanced sustainability in energy consumption.
